Palm makes a soundful comeback with TouchScreen Pre, WebOS

I really thought Palm was going to be dead sooner or later or more than that the prevailing recession more around, innovation would lack the pace but I realize with more than a meaning that Innovation is the key during this times of recession and slowdowns and that is clear with Palm making a comeback with the TouchScreen, Pre WebOS! Awesome! I must say looking at the launch pictures. It is surely going to deliver and best of it is that its to be a wait and watch game against the Microsoft, Apple and Google's already similar phone market. It has surely silenced all doubters, critics and including me, a nobody to the company although ;-) WebOS—earlie code-named "Nova"—is one of the hottest mobile platforms competiting both Android from Google and Apple's iPhone OS. At an initial look, Palm is not that different, but when you get your palm really on the phone, its what you feel the difference, Palm claims it! and indeed in the launch session, Palm WebOs does it different reportedly with the Key Gestures. WebOS has got the conception of "Synergy," where all applications can simultaneous and togethe get the information from the Internet. The best example: WebOS's unified contact list, which seamlessly displays all your contacts and grab their e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and IM handles from Facebook, Gmail, Exchange, you name it. Palm's integrated messaging interface, which combines IM and text chats into a single, threaded conversation. A few other interesting notes: When you're sitting at the Pre's main screen, you can just start typing on the QWERTY keypad to call up a universal search menu; you'll instantly see any matching contacts, or you can quickly jump to Web results from Google, Google Maps, and Wikipedia. Much more has been said on the Palm's new Phone but only time will tell whether the user market thinks it is really going for and will the developers will be willing to write the applications for this Phone ? Fingers crossed. Well, I am just seeing the cost to be down than IPhone so it gets more market it easily.   Courtesy: http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/10021.html
