Matthew Hayden retires: Hayden announces retirement today

Australian opener Matthew Hayden has announced his retirement from international cricket today.

Hayden aged 37 has got 8624 runs from 103 tests and 6133 runs from 161 ODIs to his credit. He has been one of the key players which made Australia the World Champions in all forms of cricket.

Hayden has been dropped earlier from Australia’s Twenty20 and one-day sides and has place only in the test team.
