Dear Public Services Aspirants, UPSC Exam Results 2008 The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Combined Defence Services (CDS)-II Examination, 2008, on the basis of written tests conducted during September 2008. A total of 8276 candidates were selected for the interview process by the Service Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence. All these candidates have been selected for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun; Naval Academy, Goa; Air Force Academy, Hyderabad and Officers' Training Academy (OTA), Chennai for men and Officers Training Academy (OTA) for women, Chennai, for 4th Short Service Commission (SSC) non-technical course. CDS-II Examination Results 2008 An official from the UPSC said, "The Union Public Service Commission has a facilitation centre near the Examination Hall Building in its campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination on working days between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM, in person or over telephone No. 011-23385271, 011-23381125 and 011-23098543 from this Centre". NMAT had 150 questions from 3 sections in 2008. Each correct question gave 1 point while each wrong question guilted a penalty of 0.25 marks. Last year cut off for NMAT was 86 marks

With over 83.33 % weightage to the NMAT score in selection procedure, just qualifying cut offs is not enough  . Newark Liberty International Airport to use satellite navigation system

NewArk Liberty Internation Airport will soon start to pilot the new Satellite Navigation System design to reduce the delays in the flights.. good news!, it is going to be first airport in the US to test the GBAS - Ground Base Augmentation System. :-) This is supposedly will ease the air traffic congestions and allow planes to fly side by without compromisng on any of the safety measures. This was part of the implementations to the suggestions and recommendations made by the New York Port Authority and New Jersey's Flight Delay Task Force. New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International airport will be the first U.S. airport to adopt a new navigation system that uses satellites and ground-based antennas to replace radar-based technology that dates back to World War Two, the airport-owning agency said on Wednesday. The Dragon Millipede is among the countless creatures announced by the World Wildlife Fund, all from Mekong the last ten years. The dragon millipede might look cute, but don’t let those looks fool you. The dragon emits the compound cyanide. The area in South East Asian also produces the rediscovery of a black and brown striped rabbit, the nesolagus timminsi. In total, the WWF effort reportedly produced the discovery of two species every week for ten years.
