Friends, aponline.gov.in has released the application forms for DSC 2008 after yesterday's good news of announcement of Job notifications by Andhra Pradesh government. Important Dates

• 1. Sale of application form from 15-12-2008 to 15-01-2009.
• 2. Receipt of application form from 15-12-2008 to 16-01-2009.
• 3. Written test 11th, 12th, & 13th of April, 2009.
• 4. Application Forms will be available for sale at all Head Post Offices / Sub Post offices / e- Seva centers.
• 5. Filled in Application form has to be submitted to the concerned District Educational Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS For the posts of School Assistants, Secondary Grade Teachers, Language Pandits and PET are shown in detail in the guidelines issued along with the application form. They are also available in www.dse.ap.gov.in and www.aponline.gov.in which can be downloaded free of cost. AGE Applicant must have completed the minimum age of 18 years and must not have completed the maximum age of 39 years as on 1st July 2008 (1.07.2008). However in case of BCs/ SC/ST the maximum age limit is 44 years and physically challenged candidates is 49 years. HOW TO APPLY Printed application forms may be obtained on payment of Rs.200/- from 15-12-2008 to 15-01-2009 (both days inclusive) excluding the public holidays in all Head post Offices at the District Head Quarters and Head Post Offices /Sub Post Offices at the Revenue Divisional Head Quarters and e-Seva centres. RECEIPT OF APPLICATION Applications shall be submitted in person to the secretary of the District selection committee (District Educational Officer) of the concerned district on or before 16-01-2009 up to 5.00 pm on all working days. METHOD OF SELECTION based on the marks obtained in the written test comprising of 200 Multiplechoice questions for a total of 100 marks, as per community roster and local reservations. WRITTEN TEST (i) The candidate should take the Test only in the district in which he/she submitted his/her application. (ii) The candidate shall be required to answer 200 multiple-choice questions by way of shading in the space indicated in the O.M.R sheet. APPOINTMENT Every selected candidate will be initially appointed by the concerned appointing authority as apprentice teacher for a period of 2 (Two) years from the date of appointment. During the period of apprenticeship, he/she will be paid a monthly stipend. On satisfactory completion of the period of apprenticeship, he/she will be appointed to a regular post with a regular scale of pay. Selected candidates will be required to join duty within 30 days from the date of receipt of the appointment order. DSC notifications 2008 schedule announced

Hello Friends! The government of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday has announced the schedule for the conduct of District Selection Committee (DSC) - 2008 for around 52,655 teacher posts in one shot. The recruitment will continue to fill these 52,655 posts by next year May 2009. This decision is taken in view of filling the sufficient staff positions as soon as possible and also not affecting the children studying in schools whose academic year start would also mark with May-June of the year. The details of the above number of total posts, this is how the division goes:

• 12,252  - for school assistants,
• 30,558 secondary grade teachers,
• 7,018 language pundits,
• 2,789 PETs and
• 30 special teachers required by schools run for the visually-challenged and the hearing and speech-impaired.

Regional allocations would have Telangana get about 20,750 teachers, while Coastal Andhra would have the share of 20,858 posts and Rayalaseema filling the 11,041 posts.
